WATCH: Good Morning Britain Cut Off Guest For 'Homophobic And Racist Rant'
Good Morning Britain was forced to cut a guest mid-interview after he made 'disgusting' comments...
Presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were speaking to Trisha Goddard and Pastor Jesse Lee Peterson about Kanye West's latest controversial interview on the show.
Kanye recently claimed that slavery was a 'choice' in a clip on TMZ, and Trisha and Jesse were invited onto Good Morning Britainto debate the tense topic.
Trisha slammed Kanye for his statement, saying he was damaging the Kardashian brand by offending so many people.
Jesse began by defending Kanye's comments and claimed that racism doesn't exist and is a "phoney idea" and a "lie that has been made up by the liberals", before going on to say that "black people were morally better off" while working on plantations.
Jesse also argued that black people allowed themselves to be "mentally enslaved for 400 years."
Trisha responded with: "What is people putting on white hoods and burning crosses on front lawns - a firework display? Let's get real here... Racism exists. To say that it's something that somebody made up is absolutely ridiculous."
Jesse went on to compare Black Lives Matter with the KKK and said it was "an evil organisation created by lesbians and homosexuals."
Piers quickly jumped in and told him: "Mr Peterson, you're descending into extremely unpleasant and frankly vile rhetoric. I don't know why you think this is appropriate to say this on national television. But what you just said is completely unacceptable."
He later confirmed Jesse Lee's video link had been cut after he made homophobic comments.
Fans rushed to social media to comment on the fiery debate, with one posting: "Mr. Peterson has been rightly silenced by GMB. Disgusting views, he should hang his head in shame."
Another added: "Oh Jesus, they cut his microphone because of the vile rhetoric he was spewing. Don't think he'll be invited back any time soon!"
A third chipped in: "What... they need to pull the plug on this guy on Good Morning Britain at the moment."
A fourth wrote: "Wow this bloke on GMB is vile, and for once I don't mean Piers Morgan."
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
