Former Coronation Street star Bruno Langley has been reported to police, after he allegedly tried to 'woo a 15-year-old,' The Sun reports.

According to the tabloid, the mother of the 15-year-old girl is said to have told police that Bruno called the girl "beautiful" and asked if she was single, despite allegedly knowing her age.

The actor, who played Todd Grimshaw in the soap, reportedly approached the girl in a gym, and later found her online.

The girl told The Sun: "He asked my age. It creeped me out. I walked away but he kept following."

She alleges he found her on Twitter, and wrote: "You're absolutely beautiful. Are you single?"

The girl told her mum of the incident after Bruno was recently found guilty of sexual assault. According to The Sun, police are "assessing it".

Speaking to The Sun about the alleged incident, Bruno said: "Over the years as an actor I have had hundreds of people that approach me and want to speak to me, and I also get many messages through social media.

"I have no recollection of an exchange that The Sun state happened over two years ago.

"I would not have conversed with a girl in the manner The Sun alleges, if I knew she was under the age of 16.

"I have never been contacted by any authority about an allegation of this nature.".
