Coronation Street’s Michelle Connor Could Be Killed By Phelan In Shock Twist
Kym Marsh has hinted that her character Michelle Connor could die in a shocking twist on Coronation Street this week...
41-year-old Kym appeared on This Morning to talk about the dramatic scenes, which are airing at a later time of 9pm each night this week.
The actress said Michelle is shot by Phelan on her wedding day to Robert Preston, and hinted that she may not survive her injuries.
Phelan will be seen barging his way into the Bistro and going on a rampage as part of his evil revenge plan where he holds the guests at gunpoint and Michelle ends up being shot.
In the first promo pictures from the episode, Phelan has a scared Michelle in a headlock and in another picture she's lying on the floor and Robert can be seen trying to comfort her while she's overseen by her doctor son Ali and Carla.
Referring to the reports about her future on the soap, host Eamonn Holmes asked: "Has your contract been renewed or reviewed?"
Kym replied cryptically: "Well there's been reports that it was renewed. But is it a red herring? Just saying!"
The soap star shared her excitement about being a part of Phelan's exit storyline, she said: "You would never imagine Michelle getting anywhere near this story because there's not really been any connection really between Michelle, Robert and Phelan at all.
"So when I was told we were involved in this story, I was literally clapping my hands because it's such an amazing thing."
Talking about the recent hard-hitting storylines in Corrie Kym added: "We're raising awareness. We're governed by Ofcom and we have to make sure that what we're doing is correct and highlighting serious issues and doing them justice."
You can catch Coronation Street this week on ITV every day at 9pm.
