Here's some spellbinding news for all you Potterheads. Has the Dark Mark on your arm been tingling recently? That could be because The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is launching a temporary Dark Arts light show this spring.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Created with the house of Slytherin and those who lean towards the dark side in mind, the new light show will be a dark arts display of lights, music, and special effects on the side of the castle.

It's first coming to Universal Studios Hollywood from April 13-28 and returning from May 25-27. Dates for its Universal Orlando Resort debut will be announced at a later time.

Universal Studios teased late last month that Death Eaters, Dementors, Aragog, Mountain Trolls and He Who Must Not Be Named will light up the night sky in a bone-chilling nighttime spectacular.

But (spoiler alert) as a palate cleanser, towards the end of the show a Patronus charm will be cast to vanquish the evil (until the next show) in a classic Defence Against the Dark Arts move.

The extravaganza will feature an as-yet-unheard musical arrangement based on John Williams' original music from the films that was conducted by William Ross and recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra.

It's a far more sinister 'new dimension of sorcery' compared to the park's light show predecessors: the Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle and The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.

News of the Wizarding World's upcoming light show comes after the recent revelation that a new roller coaster will open in June this year: Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. It takes guests on an exciting ride on the affable half giant's bike encountering numerous magical creatures along the way.

Set to open exclusively at the Universal Studios resort in Orlando, the thrill ride is said to be their 'most highly-themed coaster yet.'

The new ride joins other Harry-Potter related attractions on Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure, including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which takes guests on a tour of Hogwarts and it's grounds, along with the chill Flight of the Hippogriff coaster.

Passengers can also hop on the Hogwarts Express and travel to the other side of Universal's property where they will find the infamous cobblestones of Diagon Alley and the exciting Escape From Gringotts attraction.

Better pledge your allegiance to the Dark Lord and brush up on your unforgivable curses before Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle premieres.
