A Tinder user was impressed when her match sent her a cover letter for the role of 'future husband' after she had been using the app for a month without a date.

Jessica-May Giles, 22, from Lincolnshire, matched with a man called Mitchell, and when he messaged her asking how he could apply she sent him her email address, and asked for a covering letter explaining why he would be perfect for the role of 'future husband'.

Not expecting a response, Jessica was shocked when a 300 word letter landed in her inbox the next day.

In the letter Mitchell listed his top skills as being a 'top tea maker', 'good hair player' and a 'good cuddler'.

Mitchell also wrote his name as 'Mitchell Husband Material' and said his address was '69 Future Love Den'.

The cover letter seemed to work as the pair have been messaging each other ever since and are planning to meet soon.

Jessica said: "I've had Tinder for about a month, and I've only used it for a bit of fun.

"I thought putting that I was wanting to find a future husband would be a funny request, and not something people would usually do on Tinder.

"I had only put that on my profile the day before, and I knew I'd get some banter from it so jumped at the chance when Mitchell asked how they could apply.

"I never thought he would actually send it, but when the email came through I thought it was hilarious - you've got to love a grafter!"

Jessica detailed on her profile that she loved weights, bunnies and sweets, so Mitchell tailored the cover letter to reference all of her favourite things and claimed he was a fan of them too.

Although some people may find the letter 'desperate', Jessica admits that she found it hilarious and she can't wait to meet Mitchell.

Jessica said: "I'm going on holiday soon, but we've been chatting a bit and he seems a genuinely lovely guy.

"He clearly has good personality and banter to send that cover letter in the first place - so he'd be a laugh in person!

"I'm not on Tinder actively looking to date or for a relationship, and I haven't been on a date from there.

"I just find it funny to scroll through now and then and have chats with people - especially when they're funny."

She added: "But when I'm back from holiday I don't see any harm in potentially going on a date with him and seeing what happens."
