Gerard Butler's House Completely Destroyed By Californian Wild Fires

Gerard Butler has revealed that his home has been destroyed by the Californian wild fires, which has already claimed 31 lives this weekend.

Gerald Butler has revealed that his house has been completely destroyed by the wild fires currently spreading through California.

Taking to Instagram, the Hollywood actor shared a video of the smouldering remains of his home after it was completely burnt down.

The video shows the actor standing outside his former home with just the remains of a burnt-out truck and staircase behind him.

Alongside the video he also posted a photo of himself with the burnt-out truck and a face mask with the caption: "Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters.

"Thank you @LosAngelesFireDepartment. If you can, support these brave men and women at SupportLAFD.org. Link in bio."

Over 8,000 firefighters in Los Angeles have been battling the intense fires, which reportedly covers around 265 square miles.

The blaze has sadly already claimed 31 lives, with 228 people unaccounted for.

Over 250,000 people have been evacuated from the area which is home to some of Hollywood's biggest celebrities.

A whole host of stars have been tweeting about the evacuation, including Lady Gaga who was evacuated, and the Kardashians who revealed that their homes had just avoided the flames.

Unfortunately not everyone was as fortunate. Miley Cyrus has also revealed that her home 'no longer stands' due to the blaze.

Taking to Twitter, the singer and actress confirmed herself, fiancé Liam Hemsworth and their pets were all safe.

Miley wrote: "Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community.


"I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and love of my life made it out safely and that's all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.

"I am grateful for all I have left."

She also continued to thank the emergency services and asked her fans to support the relief efforts. She added: "Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA Country Sheriff's department!
