With December just around the corner, IKEA has just revealed its £2.95 advent calendar is back and it contains a heck of a lot more than just little pieces of chocolate.

Everyone who buys the hugely popular calendar will be given a £5 voucher to spend in stores and each calendar will also contain another coupon which could be worth as much as £100.

All you have to do is buy one of the chocolate calendars at the till, and you should be handed a £5 voucher to spend meaning it could be the only advent calendar that can actually save you money.

At the very least, you're getting a fiver back to spend, which is £2.05 more than you would spend on the calendar in the first place, but there's also lots of other vouchers hidden in the calendars which could save you a lot of money when it comes to your next IKEA shop.

According to Money Saving Expert, there is a total of 75,000 calendars to buy, 50,000 of which contain another £5 voucher.

20,000 of the calendars contain a £20 voucher, 4,990 contain a £25 voucher and 10 lucky calendar owners will find an impressive £100 voucher to spend in IKEA stores.

That means two-thirds of people will get at least £10 to spend in stores for spending just £2.95 so you can't say much fairer than that.

Obviously, it's a pretty clever marketing technique because most people would probably spend more than £100 each time they go to the furniture store.

The vouchers can be spent any time between 1st December and 31st January, according to HotUKDeals, and customers can only buy a maximum of two calendars each - although we can see why they'd be tempted to try and grab more.

Vouchers can't be spent on remote or online orders, or on food at the Swedish Food Market or the Bistro.

However, the good news is you can redeem more than one voucher at a time, however, if you don't redeem the full value of the voucher, you will lose the remaining value. Obviously, there's ways around that - simply buy more.
