Public service announcement: McDonalds is adding spicy Chicken McNuggets to its menu, so mark 10.30am next Wednesday 7th August in your diaries right now as you won't want to be late for this very important date.

In the words of Love Island's Maura Higgins: Holy Mother of Mary.

These little pieces of breadcrumbed heaven have already been trialled in the US and Asia, and they're a permanent fixture in Australian Maccys, but pretty soon us lucky Brits will be able to get in on the action when they launch next week.

Before you get too excited you should probably know that they'll only be around for six weeks, so you might want camp out in your closest branch until then because who knows when (or even if) they'll be back. We're getting anxiety just thinking about it.

Priced at just £3.19 for six, £3.49 for nine, £4.99 for twenty nuggets, this latest addition comes in at the same price as regular nuggets, and they're even served with a Tabasco based dip for those looking for an extra kick. This just keeps getting better and better.

A box of six nuggets will add around 290 calories to your daily intake but honestly, who cares when they taste so delicious?

One thousand lucky festival goers at Y Not in Derbyshire were the first members of the public to sample the new nugs, and YouTube star Mark Ferris had us drooling all over the place when he posted a picture of him chowing down on Instagram.

"It may be cold @ynotfestival but @mcdonaldsuk are turning up the [flame emoji] I've been given exclusive access to the new Spicy Nugget van! You will NOT be disappointed. Launching in the in the UK soon!"

Van? VAN? A SPICY NUGGET VAN? Now that's a product of angels.

We're still reeling with last week's news that the fast-food chain announced it would be extending its breakfast hours in all 115 restaurants and now they hit us with this?

Long Live McDonalds!
