There's no denying that Cadbury's Creme Eggs are one of the most delicious Easter treats available in the entirety of the known-universe. That thick chocolate shell filled with a delicious sugary centre... mmm... we feel a little weak at the knees just thinking about it.
So while we're definitely not condoning acts of crime and villainy, we have to say, we kind of understood when we heard the news that one man had walked into a petrol station in Radcliffe, Bury, and snatched several boxes of Creme Eggs.
His haul is estimated to contain around 400 packets of the eggs, including no less than 2,000 individual eggs. This guy was definitely not joking around.
If one were to buy all those eggs separate, they'd probably be paying upwards of £1,000 so this seemingly-silly robbery was actually no small heist.
The police are on the case asking people to keep an eye out for a thief who is white, slim, aged between 25 and 30 and who has balding black hair. He was wearing a blue tracksuit at the time of the robbery.
The robbery took place last Sunday but so far the Creme Egg scoffing menace has not been apprehended.
Still, while you're here, let us teach you how to make your Creme Eggs into chocolate smothered Scotch Creme Eggs, and we'll all sit down and enjoy this hilariously weird Creme Egg advert from back in the day:
So, the one question left is this: how do you eat yours?
