He wrote on Instagram: "I've done many things in my life. Some clever some stupid. Some good some bad and most importantly some that fill my heart with joy. I have starred on Britain's most watched television show. I have played Wembley arena... 4 times.

"Wembley stadium I've played the o2 and nearly every other major stage in the country. I've flown to remote islands and visited countries galore. I've spent 8 years traveling as much as I can which my second family providing vintage funfairs, bars and event services for the likes of the vamps, olly Murs, Tom Hines and even Elton John."

He continued: "I have met billions of people along the way and tried to learn as much as I can. But we have moments that define us as people. Define our motives, outline our flaws and encourage us to peruse our ambitions. I may not have been the most reliable people or the most informative, but I have always held my head strong with my decisions and followed them through as it is always what feels right at the time. But it's not good enough. Nothing will ever be good enough.

"At some point in the next two weeks I'm going to be a dad to the most beautiful little girl I will ever meet and I promise I will be the best I can be. I'm hoping that those billions of people have taught me something because this is something I'm scared sh*tless about. I'm nervous I'm excited but above all I'm full of love. @cjmayonaise keep bouncing. I want to meet her now."

Really cute, right? But I can't help but think he most definitely has not met 'billions' of people. But anyway, back to the congratulations.

Fans were quick to express their joy for Charlie.

One wrote: "Congratulations to the both of you. I'm sure you'll be the best dad you can be, good luck in the next chapter of your life", while another said: "Hey buddy you are going to be a great dad to your daughter I wish you the best of luck for your future I know I don't know you but if you want to chat good luck".

Congrats, guys!
