Fans were over the moon when Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison announced her engagement to John Noble back in July 2017.

The lovebirds threw themselves head first into the planning of their nuptials by the looks of social media, and a few months later purchased their own family home together. Cute.

However, the Vickster then announced that she has postponed her wedding, meaning that the reality star won't walk down the aisle in July as they'd planned to.

She's now revealed the real reason behind her postponing the wedding while speaking to the Sun.

She said: "[After saying that] I read a story yesterday that said I was pushing it back two years and I started to panic as that's not true.

"I started to panic thinking - everyone's going to think I'm pregnant!"

Vicky explained: "Once we get married the questions will then start to snowball - we'll start to get asked about kids.

"At the moment we're travelling and living in our first house together, we are working really hard, we've got this incredible life - a wedding just didn't fit in.

She continued: "I feel sexy when I get called a fiancée. I've got me whole life to be a wife. I want to give 'fiancée' some love.

"John is such an amazing man and our relationship is something I've searched for for 30 years, it deserves gravity and respect and weight.

"The last thing I want to do is to rush out and have some sort of shotgun wedding just to keep everyone else happy.

"This is about me and him."

Originally reported by The Daily Star, Vicky said that she wanted to push back her wedding.

She revealed: "We are putting the wedding back a year or two."

Vicky continued: "We've been so stressed building our dream house and I haven't been able to dedicate enough time to the wedding as well. I don't want to rush it and to be honest I don't think I'm ready to be a wife yet."

Apparently, the newly engaged couple have set aside a whopping £175,000 for the star studded event which was going to be held in Newcastle in a few months. But Vicky has put it all on hold so that she can enjoy being engaged for now. No point in rushing, right?

"I'm loving being a fiancée. Being a fiancée is young and exciting. I've just come to terms with being 30," explained the reality star.

"I'm not ready to come to terms with being married yet as well."

She added: "I want to enjoy my engagement for a few years. I have my whole life to be a wife so I want to give being a fiancée some loving for a few years too."
