P!nk revealed she will no longer post images of her children on social media over "nasty" remarks made by internet trolls in the comments.

The popstar explained the decision on The Ellen Show on Monday (22nd April), sharing that she will no longer upload snaps of her two young children after receiving hateful comments under one image in particular.

The picture showed son Jameson, two, and seven-year-old daughter Willow petting a pelican which had wandered into their home.

Jameson was wearing no underwear, and the image attracted "rude, mean-spirited" comments from number of followers, explained P!nk.

"Someone went as far as saying someone should call child services... some of the nastiest things. And I cried so hard after that," she said on the show. "I won't share them anymore."

Unsurprisingly, P!nk felt that people could have been much kinder with their replies to the image, although she understood their concerns.

"I understand people saying, 'You need to be more careful, you are in the public eye, you should have thought of that,' and they're right, but there's a nice way to say that," she said.

The mum-of-two added: "It spent two hours with us which was incredible... two-year-olds don't like to wear wet swim diapers and apparently at some point he took it off. I don't think like that. We live on a farm. My kids are naked, it's what happens, I'm naked sometimes."

This isn't the only instance P!nk has been mum-shamed by Instagram users.

The singer was also criticised after posting a video of her son paying, and he could be heard saying in the clip: "Ah, damn it."

P!nk added: "Some people were like: 'Nice language, I'm sure that came from you' and 'What kind of mother do you think you are?'

"And I understand people saying you need to be more careful because you are in the public eye and you should have thought of that - they're right. But there's a nice way to say that. There's a kind way to be online."

P!nk also feels that it's a good time to stop posting pictures of daughter Willow to "let her live her best life".

"It's also probably a good time, she's seven now. It's probably time to pull her back from the world and let her live her best life," she concluded.

Here's hoping the parenting police give P!nk a break...
