The Feud Between Lana Del Rey And Azealia Banks Just Escalated

The Feud Between Lana Del Rey And Azealia Banks Just Escalated

"Pull up anytime. Say it to my face. But if I were you - I wouldn’t."

Lana Del Rey just threatened to come for rapper Azealia Banks on Twitter in a series of heated, expletive-ridden messages, and it looks like it's all over Kanye West.

It seems like their new hatred for one another has stemmed from Ye, after Lana shared her thoughts on Instagram over the producer's on-going public support of American president, Donald Trump, last month.

Under an image of Kanye wearing a MAGA (make America great again) hat, the 'Video Games' artist didn't mince her words, sharing: "Trump becoming our president was a loss for the country but your support of him is a loss for the culture."

Her September statement seemed to rile up Azealia, who took issue and shared several swipes on Instagram at Lana on Monday, saying she was "tired of white women in Hollywood and their fake ass innocent agendas".

Tagging Lana in the post, the '212' rapper said: "To me this just looks like the typical white woman taking using a weakened target to 'pretend' to be an ally. Especially because you know that a white woman vs a black male will result in an immediate victory for the white woman due to societal circumstances."

She continued: "These b*tches will take any opportunity to make themselves seem more righteous in regards to black men who don't bow down to their vapid 'social power' or more civilised and respectable than the black women that have a REAL reason to be angry."

She also accused Lana of 'using Kanye for your own vapid attempts to seem politically aware'.

Azealia then publicly ordered Lana to apologise to Ye, sharing: "Now I dare you to challenge me on any of my opinions, "witch"... You aren't built for battle. I suggest you apologise to Kanye West immediately."

And on Tuesday, Lana fired back at her accusations.

"@shopcheapyxo u know the addy. Pull up anytime. Say it to my face. But if I were you - I wouldn't," tweeted Lana, tagging Azealia.

"I won't not f*ck you the f*ck up. Period.

"Banks. u coulda been the greatest female rapper alive but u blew it. dont take it out on the only person who had ur back."

Azealia didn't ignore Lana's Twitter offer of a fight, and slated Lana's appearance in a series of other tweets:

She went on to say that she was talking to her lawyers, with Lana replying: "Tell him it's a promise not a threat."

But before the two engaged in some serious social media beef, the pair were actually friends.

Rewind to 2011, and Azealia rocketed into the limelight with '212' with Lana doing the same with 'Video Games', both signing deals with Interscope Records. The pair also collaborated on an electro dance remix of Lana's 'Blue Jeans'.

Pinpointing where things went wrong between the pair before this latest incident is almost impossible, but it doesn't look like they'll be patching things up anytime soon, as Azealia has kicked off again on Twitter on Thursday.

"@LanaDelRay where the f*ck is the address b*tch?," tweeted Azelia. "I'm really not playing with you. You have a real problem now. I am going to find you."

Lana is yet to respond to these latest tweets.
