Kim Kardashian Angers Fans By Promoting Appetite Suppressing Lollies

Kim Kardashian has been slammed by fans after sharing a sponsored post on Instagram advertising lollies that suppress your appetite.

The 37-year-old reality star captioned the post: "#ad You guys... @flattummyco just dropped a new product. They're Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they're literally unreal. They're giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some... you need to do it quick! #suckit."

Fans of the star weren't impressed and slammed the mum-of-three for plugging the controversial product.

One annoyed fan commented on the picture, saying: "Irresponsible and dangerous. Encouraging people to starve when you have such a huge platform of young, impressionable women. Shame on you."

Another person questioned: "How are we still promoting things like this in 2018? one of the most powerful women in the industry is advertising 'appetite suppressants.' If your body is telling you it's hungry, please eat. eating and being hungry is not a bad thing [sic]."

A third commented declared: "What a terrible thing to promote when so many young girls look up to you. Promote healthy eating. Have a piece of fruit when you have a craving & not this crap!"

The comments didn't just stop on Instagram, as TV presenter Jameela Jamil also hittiout at the star on Twitter saying: "No. F**k off. No. You terrible and toxic influence on young girls.

"I admire their mother's branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to.

"MAYBE don't take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids.

"And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than "I had a flat stomach."

In 2017, Us Weekly claimed that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and her two sisters Kourtney and Khloé, can make six figures from doing a sponsored social media endorsement.

CEO of Talent Resources Michael Heller, has organised several ad deals for Kim and her siblings. Speaking to the magazine she said: "Sponsored posts are about 2.5% of their income."

As Kim has the most followers at 111 million, she earns the most with $500,000 per campaign.
