Former JLS singer Oritse Williams has today been found not guilty of raping a woman in a hotel room.

The singer, 32, always denied the allegations of rape put against him following a concert in Wolverhampton in December 2016. He said they had consensual sex.

Oritse's tour manager, Jamien Nagadhana, 32, was also found not guilty of sexual assault and assault by penetration at Wolverhampton Crown Court today.

Ortise met the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, following a performance at a club in 2016.

The trial has been on-going for a week and the jury returned a not guilty verdict after around three-and-a-half hours deliberation.
