Jessica Simpson Announces Birth Of Baby With Sweet Instagram Snap

Jessica Simpson's welcomed her third baby, announcing her daughter's arrival to the world with a touching snap on Instagram.

The singer shared a monochrome image of her newborn daughter in a hospital crib with her hand wrapped around older sister Maxwell's finger.

And along with the announcement, Jessica unveiled the bundle of joy's full name.

"We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson," the mum-of-three shared.

Jessica added that she had given birth on Tuesday, 19th March and that the little girl weighed 10 Pounds 13 Ounces.

Fans and celebrity friends were quick to congratulate Jessica and her husband Eric Johnson. The pair have been married for four and a half years and already share six-year-old Maxwell Drew and five-year-old Ace Knute.

"Congrats mama!!! Yay birdie! Welcome home," exclaimed actress Hilary Duff in the comments.

While Lena Dunham congratulated: "I am always happier for you than literally anyone I actually know!!! I root for you forever!!!"

"Congratulations to you and your beautiful family! Love the name Birdie! Too cute!" added Paris Hilton.

The little girl's name might not come as a surprise to fans of the singer as Jessica pretty much gave the game away at her baby shower hosted in January.

Jessica and her guests wore statement flower crowns and floaty floral dresses for the shower, and in the middle of the event was a neon sign reading 'Birdie's Nest' positioned against a backdrop of Bohemian wallpaper and flower arrangements.

The menu for the shower was titled 'A little Birdie told me...' and 'Birdie's Nest' also covered Jessica's snaps shared to her Instagram story.

The singer shared a string of photos of her glam for the day, which she tellingly chose to caption 'Birdie's Nest' and 'Birdie Beauty'.

Fans speculated that 'Birdie' would be her next child's moniker and they were right with guesses.

Jessica revealed she was expecting again in September, saying: "This little girl will make us a family of five. We couldn't be happier to announce this precious blessing of life."
