TOWIE's Danielle Armstrong has confirmed that her and boyfriend Daniel Spiller have split.

The reality star has already been in the press earlier this year, following a confrontation with co-star Yazmin Oukhellou, which she addressed on Snapchat, to set the record straight...

She has clearly applied her straight talking approach to her current situation, as she has been completely honest and open about her split with footballer boyfriend Daniel Stiller.

Their relationship began in December last year, following her time with former boyfriend James Lock.

The pair are said to have ended on good terms, with Danielle saying it was a 'joint decision' to separate.

The blonde announced the news to her fitness group, saying that the relationship had 'come to an end', but that they would remain 'good friends'.

She confessed: "Morning guys, before it starts circulating in the press like I've seen this morning I just wanted to let you know that me and Daniel have decided our relationship has come to an end but will remain good friends.

"He has helped me create this amazing group and I will always be grateful for that. I know lots of you are loyal fans of mine so I just wanted to let you know that I'm absolutely fine and excited for the next chapter in my life."

The reality star told the Mail Online how her footballer boyfriend had played a 'big' part in her decision to leave TOWIE, especially with her ex James still being involved with the show. She said she felt that she had to leave if she was 'ever going to make a go of any relationship'.

She explained: "A big part of it [her leaving] was because I'd met Dan. I thought, if I'm ever going to be able to make a go of any relationship, I'm going to have to take myself out of this situation. I really do wish James all the best and I hope he meets someone who's perfect for him. If I saw him I'd probably say hi but I'm not going to give him any support or check how he's getting on in the new series."

It sounded unlikely that she would return to TOWIE, saying: "I don't think I'd ever go back as a character. It was 100 per cent the right decision to leave. I would only go back if Tommy and Georgia got engaged and had a party or one of the girls had a baby shower."

It sounds like the pair have taken the split pretty well, and we wish them the very best for the future.
