Celebrities Are Kissing Their Kids On The Lips In Support Of David Beckham
Celebrities and parents have taken to social media to share pictures of them kissing their children on the lips in support of David Beckham.
The dad-of-four shared a picture on Tuesday of himself and his daughter, Harper, kissing one other on the lips, which sparked a furious debate.
Some of his followers called the picture 'wrong', with one follower commenting: "I don't care what anyone says if a dad kisses a child on the lips it's completely wrong smd."
Piers Morgan also branded the footballer 'weird' for kissing his daughter on the lips.
However, most of Beckham's followers defended the show of affection and described it as 'completely natural'.
One supporter wrote: "I think it's a cute pic. I assume all daddies have kissed their daughters like that. It's not like it's a full blown snog people!"
Fellow celebrities have also been taking to Instagram to share pictures of them kissing their children.

View this post on InstagramWoh there! A father kissing his daughter on the lips! So weird, right? Wrong. Check out my piece over on @britishvogue (link in bio) after the downright ridiculous reaction to @davidbeckham kissing his daughter Harper on the lips. How such an innocent display of affection gets twisted says so much more about those who find it weird than it does about those of us who don't think twice about showing affection to our children... Pucker up Edie! :kissing_heart:

View this post on InstagramI first shared this picture when @victoriabeckham was told she shouldn't be kissing her children on the lips. I'll share it again now that @davidbeckham is under scrutiny for the same thing. Don't be so ridiculous, the world needs to get a grip. Are people's lives that warped they think kissing your own child on the lips shouldn't be done?! Dear god. Previous post - I kiss my babies on the lips all the time! Why wouldn't I?! It's a sign of love and affection. Our picture might not be as beautiful as Victoria Beckham but it's honest and true! Keep kissing those babies, they're yours and you love them! #proudparent #kissing #delilahandmummy #victoriabeckham #davidbeckham #mybabies #children #view #opinions #theworldhasgonemad #family #givemeakiss #motherofdaughters #mamaofdrama #news

View this post on InstagramNot sure if the power of Instagram can do it but after seeing David beckham slated for kissing his daughter I'm going to see if I can get dads with daughters to share pictures of them kissing their daughter along with the hashtag #standbybeckham and show that it's normal to do this, make sure you make your picture public as well so others can see #davidbeckham

The couple have been extremely open in the past about kissing their kids on the lips and why they do it.
David previously said: "I kiss all my kids on the lips.
"Brooklyn maybe not. Brooklyn is 18, so he might find that a little strange, but I'm very affectionate with the kids. It's how I was brought up - and Victoria - and it's how we are with our children.
"We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them and support them."
