"My 8 year old calls it 'my bajina' which is so darned cute I can't possibly correct her."

Mums are revealing what they call their vaginas to their children, and it's *interesting* to say the least.

In a viral social media post, one woman explained she was having some trouble over deciding what to call her lady garden after she was quizzed by her young son.

Her two-year-old had noticed the difference in how men and women go to the toilet, and she didn't feel comfortable using the correct names.

"He keeps saying stuff like 'you do a wee out of your that bit' and pointing," shared the woman on Mumsnet. "I just want something to refer to it as, which doesn't sound ridiculous.

"I know it is called a vagina but I don't really want to call it that to him, I'm not sure why but it kind of sounds wrong at age two."

Revealing what her own mum called it, she continued: "My mum used to call it 'a Mary' which I don't like. Does anyone have any suggestions?"

The post was met with an unusual response from other Mumsnet users, who all flocked to share their own special nicknames.

"Fairy? Lady garden? Foofa? Hooha? Lady bits?" raised one person.

"My 8 year old calls it 'my bajina' which is so darned cute I can't possibly correct her. 'My bulva' just isn't as cute," joked a second user.

"Me and my friends randomly have always called it a quiche or goat," suggested a third, while somebody else exclaimed: "It's a front bum!"

"When I was a child my mother called my area my 'Little Lady', and my brother had a 'Little Man'," offered another.

Other suggestions included a maud, coin purse, muffin, minnie, nunu, foof, little lady, winkies and even a girl willy.

However, other users suggested using the correct terminology, like vagina, vulva and urethra, debating whether we should use nicknames in the first place.
