But they are only available in Japan.

What would make your special day even more special? For fans of Pokémon (and there are many) the answer has got to be...more Pokémon!

Now, if you live in Japan, that dream could be a reality, as wedding ceremony company ESCRIT have partnered with The Pokémon Company to offer officially licensed weddings based on the video game and TV franchise.

The Pokémon Company

Pokémon has been going strong since 1996, so naturally in the last 23 years fans have put on their own Pokémon-themed weddings, but what sets this one apart is that it's official.

You get two giant Pikachus to take you down the aisle (sorry, dad!), plus Pokémon dessert, a Pokémon cake, Pokémon decor... yep, the whole situation.

The Pokémon cake, decorated with Pokéball macarons is absolutely wild but the pastel Pokémon wedding certificate has to be the real highlight of the day, and worth the trip to Japan alone.

Tbh, we don't know the legality on getting married in Japan if you're British, but maybe there's a loophole?

The full package includes Pokémon-themed party favours, and while we don't know how much the weddings cost, they will be shown by ESCRIT at the Bridal Fairs in Japan this summer and begin taking bookings next year.

If your other half doesn't want to get involved with a Pokémon wedding, maybe it's actually time to reconsider the entire nuptials.

After all, if they don't want to walk down the aisle flanked by two giant Pikachus, what kind of husband or wife could they possibly ever be?

Now you've just got to think about what Pokédress you want to wear to your Pokéwedding...

You can learn more here and make bookings through Escrit, but the weddings are currently only available in Japan, sorry!
