A woman has shared an itemised invoice she was sent from attending a bride's hen do, listing everything she owed including 18p for Sprite.

The anonymous party-goer shared a screenshot of a message from the bride who we know as Sarah, with the subject line, 'bacheloretteexpenses.'

"So I received an invoice from the bachelorette party," she wrote on Reddit.

On the screenshot, Sarah had listed the total cost of everything including food, gifts, and décor - then divided it by seven people, which presumably is how many people attended the do.

The bride really wanted everything to be completely equal, because it's not just the expensive items that were added to the bill - she even added wholesale items like the cost of a bottle of Sprite, which she charged each of her guests 24 cents (18p) for.

But that wasn't enough, because she also listed a 2.50 (£1.90) bottle of lemonade which worked out at just 27p per guest.

M&Ms, watermelon, cupcakes, cotton candy, plates and a pool tutu also made the list, with the total coming to $166.67 (£126.80) meaning that everyone who attended the soiree was being asked to contribute $23.81 (£18.11).

The woman was clearly unamused by the bill she received as she branded her friend 'insane' for charging her guests for such mundane items.

"God forbid we get away without paying each .28 for paper napkins," she raged.

"I'm sorry but if you take the time to split the cost of a honeydew by 7, you are insane."

However, the woman added that there was some confusion over who should pay for what because the invite stated it was 'bring your own booze', however she ended up having pay for alcohol that the woman had bought.

"She said it was byob so you brought your own but we also ended up having to pay for the alcohol she bought," they said.

"The party wasn't even fun because she was trying so hard to make it the picture perfect party and it seemed unnatural and more like a business transaction."

But, it seemed like the woman had a good plan to get her moneys worth, adding: "I'm going to eat the f*ck out of her wedding food to make up for it."

One confused user responded: "I'm struggling to wrap my head around how anyone could think this is reasonable."

Another insisted: "Do not pay this. It's tacky, and was not previously agreed upon. BYOB means you don't pay for her booze. Give her $20 and be done with it."
