Jamie first began to put on weight when he got a part-time job in a kitchen at the tender age of 14, where he quickly picked up on a series of bad eating habits.

The 31-year-old started picking on food throughout the day, as well as indulging in takeaways and drinking sugary energy drinks.

At his heaviest, Jamie weighed a whopping 36 stone however with the help of his brutal pal Neil, a bit of romance and a healthy diet, he managed to drop to a healthy 14 stone.

Jamie's impressive feat began when his pal, Neil Williamson, saw an advert for Ideal Weight Diet at his local doctors' surgery.

Neil decided that a bit of tough love was needed for his mate, so he began sending messages calling Jamie a 'fat f*ck', and telling him he'd be dead before he reached 40.

It might not be the right method for everyone, however Jamie credit's his pal for 'saving his life'.

Since losing the weight, Jamie has also found love with his neighbour Melanie Mulley and confessed that he's never been happier.

He gushed: "I never made plans for the future as I always thought I would be dead at a young age, but now I'm healthy and have amazing girlfriend - I'm a new man."

What an incredible inspiration.
