Being a single parent definitely isn't the easiest job in the world but one fella seems to have gotten it covered all by himself.

In fact, Chatchai Parnuthai was so determined not to let his sons miss out on Mother's Day celebrations that he decided to dress up as their mum instead.

The 32-year-old arrived at his kids' schools in Kanchanaburi in Thailand wearing a pale pink lace dress and a hair clip to match.

Mr Parnuthai's sons, Ozone, five, and Imsome, three, faced a pretty lonely afternoon with their fellow classmates and all their mums - something their dad didn't want to happen.

Unfortunately for the youngsters, their mum walked out on them three years ago to move to Europe leaving the three of them behind.

But Chatchai, a motorbike-loving mechanic, surprised them when he borrowed his own mum's clothes and pinned up his hair to attend the event.

Touching footage captures the two boys as they pay respect to their 'mother' while he sits alongside all the other women, the MailOnline reports.

Chatchai said: "I'm a single dad so I just wanted to make sure that my two sons were happy.

"I was a bit embarrassed, but it meant that they could take part like their classmates."

Fellow parent Kornpat Sukhom, 36, who also attended the event with her own children, said Chatchai was the 'best mother'.

She added: "In Thailand if it's Mother's Day, every mother has to join in activities with their children at school. The children's parents are divorced and the mother is now living in Europe.

"This is why he showed up to the school wearing a dress to take the place of her in the celebration.

"He wanted the children not to feel left out because their mother had left them."

Fair play, MrParnuthai, we're sure the school would have let you attend wearing whatever you wanted but we love the pure dedication to your boys.

And we're sure they will remember it for many years to come.
