Police in Canada have discovered a litter of puppies whose mum had hidden them in a deep underground hideaway.
The adorable pooches were rescued after a two-hour dig by a team of police officers in Manitoba earlier this week.
According to the officers, the mother doggo gave birth to five puppies, before digging a hole for them herself, much like a fox would do.
Police Chief Bob Futrell told CBC how they were attending the property for a separate matter when the property owner alerted them to the puppies buried by his pooch.

The dog's owner apparently became concerned when one of the puppies, later affectionately named as Pickles, emerged from the tunnel seeming dehydrated.
Bob explained: "[The owner] asked our department for some help retrieving the puppies because it was so deep down, so our members got digging."
Officers discovered the tunnel more than a metre below the ground, covering about three metres in length combined.

Once the puppies were all freed, they were taken to the vet for full health checks, before being taken to foster homes.
The mother pooch is also said to be doing well and the puppies will be up for adoption soon but we're sure it won't be long before someone snaps up these adorable fur babies.
Sharing the news on Facebook, Rivers Police Service said: "After dealing with a quick call for service, members were alerted to a batch of puppies that were deep in a system of tunnels and needed to be rescued!

"Cst. Roque, Cst. Seib and Aux. Cadet Green got to digging... and digging, but in the end five adorable puppies were able to be given a warm bed to sleep in after a short vet visit and some much-needed food!"
According to Bob, the officers are just happy to have helped.
"Well, you know, it's just one of those scenarios where police officers get to do something out of the ordinary and something very positive, and make a difference in the life of a family and animals."
