Daily exercise, getting your five-a-day and sticking to the recommended alcohol units are just some of the ways we're told to ensure a long life. But the record reads differently for Britain's oldest identical twins, who put their old age down to no sex and a lot of Guinness.

Yes, Lil Cox and Doris Hobday, 95, spoke about the key to a long life when they sat down as guests on This Morning on Monday (9th September).

When quizzed about their secrets by hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield, Lil quipped: "No sex and plenty of Guinness."

When Holly asked why no sex, Doris replied: "Well, I don't have a husband!"

Icons, tbh.

The pair, from Tipton in Birmingham, have recently found fame on social media, amassing thousands of followers on Facebook within just weeks of opening their joint page.

Lil and Doris have built up quite a fanbase, posting videos of their day-to-day life including shopping for mobile phones and doing their daily 'chair yoga'.

In one video, they review the latest instalment of Fast and Furious, which Holly quizzed them about on the chat show.

When asked if they thought the franchise's star Jason Statham was good looking, Lil said: "Oh I love him", while her twin sister added: "Well I think he's fantastic".

We think you've got some competition, Rosie HW!

Viewers of This Morning took to Twitter to praise the duo, with some demanding they are given their own segment.

"The twins on #ThisMorning! They need their own segment," said one fan. "I absolutely loved watching the Twins. They are so funny," added another.

"How fabulous are these twins? Love them," penned a third.

The twins' secrets to longevity aren't far off 107-year-old Louise Jean Signore's, who puts her old age down to never getting married.

"I think the secret of 107: I never got married. I think that's the secret," Louis from the Bronx, New York, told CBS on her birthday in August. 'My sister says, 'I wish I never got married.'"

Unbelievably, Louise doesn't take any medication (except a blood pressure pill), doesn't use a wheelchair and does all of her own shopping.

Born in 1912, Louise told CBS "I said I've had enough parties," as more than 100 people turned out for her birthday party.
And old age runs in the family: Louise's sister is 102 herself.

"If they have exercise, I do the exercise. If they have dancing, I dance. I still a do a little dancing. After my lunch, I will play bingo, so I had a full day," Louise said.

But it isn't just single life Louise swears by. "Italian food. Italian food is very good for you," she says. "I was brought up with very good food. No soda, no cake."

So there you have it: no sex, no marriage, Italian food and Guinness and you'll live into your hundreds.
