A dog who was returned to a rescue centre with all of his belongings, including his bed, by his family of three years, has found a new home.
Wall-E was first adopted from Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) in Arizona, in 2015 but found himself in the same spot he was adopted from in September this year.
The six-year-old Labrador cross couldn't quite understand what had happened and as he was unable to have his toys and bed with him in the kennel he was disoriented and nervous.
Unfortunately, his owners felt they could no longer give Wall-E the love and attention they felt he deserved.

Writing on Facebook the shelter asked their followers not to judge the previous owners as they said it was a very tearful and difficult goodbye.
They posted: "This guy deserves a forever family who won't give up on him. Please don't bash his previous owners though. We don't know the whole story.
"What we do know is the owner was heartbroken and crying. It was hard to finally help them leave. The staff was crying with the owners. We don't believe this decision was taken lightly."

However, Wall-E was adopted two months later when staff decided to share his story on Facebook and as it received a lot of attention a suitable owner came forward.
The rescue centre posted the good news on social media. They wrote: "Wall-E was owner-surrendered recently to MCACC West. (His owners tearfully had to surrender him but left all his things for him.)
"Today, Wall-E today has a new person. How was Wall-E so lucky to get out of the shelter in less than 24 hours? Because his story was shared over 2,400 times after his story was posted.

"We have over 800 owner-surrenders and strays sitting in both shelters waiting for their forever homes too. Who is going to help share their stories? It's the power of networking. Thank you all for making it happen!"
Jordan Bader, who runs a Facebook page for the adoptable dogs of MCACC, told The Dodo: "He was very scared. In his kennel, he would bark and bark.
"About six volunteers and I run the page and network for the shelter dogs. We knew this picture would be heartbreaking and would get a lot of attention, but we had no idea it would blow up like it did. We had so many people interested in him."

After being adopted Bader said that Wall-E is enjoying a lot of visits to the park and lots of cuddles.
