Doctors Say Period Pains Hurt Just As Much As Heart Attacks

There's no getting away from the fact that periods aren't one of the best things we experience in life as women.

As well as the often excruciating cramps, your boobs can feel pretty tender, you might get bloated and/or mood swings.

Not something you'd exactly sign up for when you put it like that!

And to make matters worse, it often feels like 'lady problems' are just swept under the carpet, with certain people not exactly being sympathetic to the unbearable pain that visits us each month.

But now, doctors have said that menstrual cramps 'hurt just as much as heart attacks'.

That's right. John Guillebaud, professor of reproductive health at University College London, said: "Men don't get it and it hasn't been given the centrality it should have.

"I do believe it's something that should be taken care of, like anything else in medicine."

Feels great to FINALLY be acknowledged, doesn't it?
