Breastfeeding Mum Shuts Down Man Who Asks Her To 'Cover Up' In The Best Way

The sole reason that women are born with breasts is so that they can use them to feed their children if they have them, if they choose to of course.

Although some people have differing views on the subject, I'm pretty sure that the majority would agree that women should have the right to feed their children, whether it be in their home or in public, without being made to feel uncomfortable for doing so.

Whilst we're at it, what right does anyone have to tell a mother not to feed her child in public? It seems like a no-brainer, but some idiots are still intent on making a big deal out of it.

Well, now the mums are fighting back.

On mum in Texas hilariously put one guy telling her to cover up in his place.

When feeding her kid in a restaurant she was asked by a man (why is it always a man?) to cover herself up - so she did.

She took out a blanket, covered her head with it and kept on doing what she was doing. Fair play to her.

The moment was captured by Carol Lockwood, who is a friend of the woman's mother in law. She posted it to Facebook and said: "A friend's daughter-in-law was told to "cover up" while feeding her baby, so she did!

"I've never met her, but I think she's AWESOME!!!"

She added: "To reduce speculation: it was a man who asked her to cover up, it was 90 degrees and extremely humid, and no, she wasn't in a Muslim country disrespecting tradition"

The incident took place in Mexico, in a hotel restaurant. The clever mum in the photo is actually Michelle Dudley, a 34-year-old from Austin, Texas.

She has 4-year-old twins as well as her youngest baby, so she's been around the block a few times when it comes to matters like this.

She told Yahoo! Lifestyle: "I was on vacation in Cabo San Lucas with my entire family and a man asked me to cover myself,

"I'm usually discreet, but we were seated in the back of the restaurant."

Since the video was shared it has been commented on 14,000 times and shares 178,000 online - most of the people responding think it's funny and are positive about it.

Regardless of that, breastfeeding is completely legal in the UK, and in all 50 states of the USA. In fact, in a lot of places around the world it is illegal to tell someone to stop breastfeeding in public.

Perhaps that's just because it's a completely normal, natural thing to do, and people being offended by want to have a wee look at themselves.
