There was an expected new weather host today on Good Morning Britain.

Five-year-old Harmonie-Rose Allen from Bath, who lost her limbs to meningitis, melted the hearts of audiences across the country by delivering today's UK weather forecast.

The brave young girl was invited on the show to talk about her huge achievement of completing the Bath half-marathon last weekend.

She tackled the 13.1 mile course with a supportive team of seven people cheering her that included two of her teachers, friends and family.

They all took turns to push her through the marathon in a special running chair, but Harmonie-Rose wanted to cross the finish line by herself, and walked the last part to complete the half-marathon in just over three hours.

Harmonie-Rose caught meningitis at just ten months old, but against all odds, survived the fatal disease.

She needed to have both legs amputated below the knee and both arms amputated at the elbow and now uses prosthetic legs.

She took her first steps just ten days before she fell ill with the disease (meningitis B virus) back in 2014.

The doctors told her parents, Ross and Freya Allen that Harmonie-Rose had only a ten per cent chance of survival. She had contracted one of the worst cases of the meningitis bug they had ever seen.
