Dogs really are a (wo)man's best friend. We do everything with them: nap, cuddle on the sofa... and get manicures, it turns out.
That's right - there are people are getting matching manis with their pets and the results are quite something. I mean, if your nails are going to look preened to perfection for the festive season, why shouldn't your dogs too?
Please find a ton of inspiration below:
One important thing to note is that you MUST use dog-friendly nail products if you're twinning with your pooch.
Products designed for humans can be toxic for pets and can easily be ingested if they lick their paws. The same can be said for nail varnish remover, which will also taste really bad.
Luckily, there is such a thing as dog-friendly nail products (believe it or not) which are natural and non-toxic.
Princess Pawdicure are one brand which specialises in pet-friendly nail products and they ship to the UK too. Otherwise you can find them on Amazon or in most good pet stores.
One dog that doesn't need a mani to stand out is Hazel the beagle, who was discovered to have a rather unusual marking on her back: the outline of a dachshund.
Her owner, Shannon Austin, 31, was spending time in the garden at her home in Yorkshire when she noticed the unusual marking on her nine-week-old pup.
Adorable Hazel has a marking in the outline of a dachshund and the marking even changes colour where the dog's nose would be making it extra life-like.
"I noticed the day I brought her home that she had unusual markings," says Shannon. "The markings were individual spots when I first met her at 3 weeks old, and now they've merged into a dog-like shape. I think it's amazing and that she's quite unique."
