For some people, mosquitos just stay away, but for others, they just can't seem to keep away. With summer holidays coming up, it's time to start thinking about how to ward off mozzies without absolutely reeking of chemical-y insect repellant spray.

The new summer essential promising to moisturise your skin while keeping the mosquitos away isn't actually officially an insect repellant spray at all. It's actually a hydrating dry oil by Avon - and it's only £3.50.

The oil has a light citrus scent and is available both from Avon and on Amazon. The spray has been formulated with natural jojoba oils which lock in moisture.

The description reads: "Formulated to help lock in moisture when applied after bathing, leaving skin delicately scented. Instant, touch-dry moisture in a handy spray. Long-lasting moisture for normal to dry skin. Infused with natural oils"

Amazon buyers are absolutely loving it and it's racked up hundreds of five star reviews online.

One reads: "Bought this for a holiday, partly as I know Avon products are good quality and then as it was recommended by friends. It was. A very good dry oil moisturiser as well as a useful insect repellent. I normally get bitten by everything, but using this I had no insect bites at all. I agree with the reviewer who disliked the initial smell, but I found the scent vanished within a couple of minutes."

Another person said: "Used on holiday to avoid being bitten, does a good job as it has before. My stepson is a marine and they use this in the jungle".

There you go - it's not just good for your girls' holiday to Beefa, then.

Someone else said: "Was recommended this as a mosquito repellent - it works and smells good, I now use it everyday as my body moisturiser".
