I think the worst part about being on a diet is when reality kicks in and you realise that alcohol is your own worst enemy.
Beers and wines especially are FULL of calories, making it seem nearly impossible to lose them last few pounds. Why is it so hard to say turn down a glass (or bottle) of wine when you're dieting?!
Budget supermarket Aldi seems to always have our backs ATM, with all their incredibly cheap and cheerful products. They have almost everything you could ever wish for, minus the expensive price tag.
If you're a health addict or dieter but still love the occasional drink(ing binge), then their newest addition is going to be perfect for you.
Our beloved Aldi has launched bottles of wine which have HALF the amount of calories. Yup, you heard that right.
Even better they cost just £2.99 per bottle - a glass of wine costs more than that! Your purse and waistline will be so thankful.
The Featherweight range includes a white zinfandel, a sauvignon blanc, a pinot grigot, and a merlot, meaning you're spoilt for choice if you're a white, rosé or red lover. A small glass has 55 calories, which has less calories than an apple or a banana!
Of course, nothing is as good as it seems. Slashing the amount of calories also means that the alcohol content of the bottles has been cut in half too! BOO YOU, ALDI. My dreams have been shattered. The bottles are 5.5%.
But let's look on the bright side, at least you won't get tipsy off one glass and do something soul-destroying and embarrassing. Who am I kidding, that's the best bit!
Only the merlot is available nationwide, and the rest of the range is only available in certain stores too.
If you live in Swindon, Bathgate, Chelmsford, Neston or Goldthorpe, you can get your hands on the Sauvignon Blanc and White Zinfandel. The Pinot Grigio can only be bought in Atherstone, Bolton, Darlington and Cardiff.
What about the rest of us, Aldi?!
"We have seen over the last year a real appetite from wine drinkers in the UK for lower calorie and ABV wines to moderate their alcohol intake," said Tony Baines, joint managing director of corporate buying at Aldi UK.
"We ensure we're offering our customers the products they want and so have introduced our Featherweight wines as a lighter choice for our shoppers."
Anyway, bargain wine means you won't feel too bad if you need to chuck a glass over someone:
