Zac Efron Is Here For A Greatest Showman Sequel And We Couldn't Be More Thrilled

The Greatest Showman was the musical drama that lit up our screens in 2017 with its stellar cast and triumphant soundtrack, so it's no surprise fans have been praying for a sequel.

Well one thing's for sure: Zac Efron is game.

Zac, who starred in the 2017 film alongside Hugh Jackman and Zendaya, was quizzed about the possibility during tonight's episode of The Graham Norton Show, revealing he'd be game for a follow-up.

"Hugh is working on all sorts of things including a one man show," Zac said, referring to Jackman's eponymous one man stage show which he's currently touring. "What's next? I don't know but I hope there is a sequel," he teased.

But while Zac remains vague about the possibility of a sequel, Michael Gracey, the show's director has already revealed there definitely will be one.

He told The Sun: "When a movie becomes as big a success as this, it's only natural there is demand for a sequel. So those discussions have started and we are working on one right now."

Zac joined Graham Norton on the sofa to chat to the host about his upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, in which he stars as serial killer Ted Bundy.

Speaking about backlash the film has received (some have suggested it glorifies the serial killer) Zac said: "I had a lot of reservations about playing a killer and in this genre of film. I wasn't interested in glorifying anything, but I was interested in the psychological aspect of whether he was capable of real love.

"I was very hesitant to do it, but I knew I could. I just didn't want to jump at something that could be seen as a desperate shot at trying to change my image. It was a unique experience and not what anyone expects. It makes me proud."
