Fans have been left furious tonight after watching Carla Connor's character (played by Alison King) convincing Daniel (Robb Mallard) to try and stop the wedding between Chesney and Sinead.

While we all know what eventually happened between the two, it still didn't stop fans highlighting how 'snakey' they thought Carla had been about the whole situation...

"Why is Carla sticking her nose in? #Corrie," one viewer questioned, while another added: "I love you Carla, but stop trying to talk Dangerous Dan into crashing the wedding. #Corrie."

A third commented: "Why is Carla interfering for again! Can't understand why everyone thinks she's a good character! #Corrie."

Another big story line to come from tonight's episode includes Bethany Platt's first hint at her new job as a lap dancer. She's been hinting about being 'tired' from night-shifts, yet the actual job itself has yet to be revealed on the show.

Since taking on the role of Bethany Platt in Coronation Street, 22-year-old actress Lucy Fallon has taken on some pretty challenging storylines.

However, Lucy only took on the role back in 2015 when her character Bethany rejoined the soap after she and her mum, Sarah Platt, played by Tina O'brien, returned from living in Italy.

Up until Bethany and Sarah's departure in 2007, the role of Bethany was actually played by a set of twins called Emily and Amy Walton. The twins are now 17-years-old having acted in the soap from 2000 to 2007, and it turns out that Bethany would look very different if she was still played by Emily and Amy.

Despite being young, Emily and Amy were involved in some pretty dramatic scenes during their time on the soap, including when Gail Platt's evil ex-husband Richard Hillman plotted to kill Bethany, Gail, Sarah and David when he drove them all into the canal. All true Corrie fans will remember that iconic moment. Here's a reminder...

Since Lucy Fallon took over as Bethany, she's played some pretty frontal roles in the soap including becoming the victim of sexual exploitation and child grooming. Lucy's portrayal of the shocking storylines also lead her to winning Best Actress at the 2017 Inside Soap Awards, which was thoroughly deserved, TBH.

The actress has since hinted at taking her relationship status to the next level with boyfriend, Tom Leech, after she posted this on Instagram.

"I would never ask ANYONE else to be my 'plus one'. My beautiful cousin, my best friend (and my maid of honour) or my beautiful boyfriend - so this pic chose it xxxx,"

So sweet.
