Watching Disney films on repeat until we could recite the entire script was an invaluable part of our childhood, and The Little Mermaid had to be up their with one of the best.

However, it turns out that our naïve childhood eyes might actually have seen something that they shouldn't, as it is reported that Disney actually had to 'cut an erection' out of the film. Blimey.

Apparently, during that iconic scene of the wedding between Eric and Ursula, the minister preforming the ceremony seems to be reaaaally enjoying himself.

According to Disney, the offending article is actually just the ministers knees, however the supposed erection offended one viewer so much that they attempted to sue Disney back in 1995. No, seriously.

According to Metro, the offendee claimed that the film was not 'suitable for use and viewing by young children', accusing the film makers of including 'a visible sexual message'.

Needless to say, the lawsuit was eventually dropped, however the 'erection' was actually cut from the film.
