Tom Hardy Claims He Wanted To Go Full Frontal On His New TV Series
There are few things happening in 2017 that we're as excited about as Tom Hardy's new television series, Taboo. The series launches on BBC One tomorrow night at 9.15pm and we are hyped.
The first few trailers have already got us pretty excited because we've already seen Tom wandering around in nothing but a loincloth:

But according to the man himself, even that little scrap of clothing was too much. Apparently he had hoped to get completely nude in the series. Speaking to the BBC Tom revealed that he was a little disappointed that none of his totally nude scenes made it into the series:
You're lucky there was a loin cloth because I didn't want one. It's not a period drama until someone gets naked and covers themselves in blood. At least you're showing willing.
I was in Tilbury, in the moat, in the docks, with nothing on. We were trying to eke out drama from any opportunity and none of that makes the cut.
We think we speak for everyone when we say the following:
This is a disaster of literally international proportions!
Still, don't worry folks, because there were a couple of leaked set photos from the very shoot that Tom is referring to floating around the internet a few months ago so if you're really that desperate to see Tom Hardy's peen you can probably track it down!
Tom also revealed a little more about the series and how he hopes it'll provide the cure for all of our January blues:
It's January. You're coming out of the darkness of the Christmas period, it's freezing and no-one has any money. Hopefully Taboo should deliver on a lot of levels.
It's got heart, a lot of attention to detail. It opens like a jewellery box and it's got that Gothic horror feel to it. I hope you enjoy it.
It's safe to say, we're incredibly excited! And for those of you who can't wait until tomorrow night, here's one more trailer to tide you over!
