There’s Now A Website Which Warns You If Dogs Die In Movies

If you're anything like us and you don't blink an eye if a human gets hurt in a TV show, book or film, but bawl for days if a dog gets a paper cut, then you need to know this very important news: there's now a website which lets you know every time something sad happens to an animal in a movie.

Aptly named 'Does The Dog Die', the website is a simple tool that helps you judge in advance whether your heart can take the pain of whatever the movie is about to bring you.

Seeing as we can't even really handle watching the Lion King or Bambi when it comes to devastating animal scenes, there clearly needs to be some kind of classification so that animal lovers don't end up weeping for days after watching a sad movie. It's crazy that the Lion King has one of the saddest scenes of all time and is still rated a U.

DoesTheDogDie.com is really simple to use: just type in the movie, book or TV show you're considering, and a whole load of trigger warnings will pop up so you can make sure you can avoid anything that will set you off. Be warned though, it's also a great way of unintentionally finding out spoilers.

Even if you inexplicably hate dogs, you'll still find lots of use for the website: as well as searching up on the fate of a variety of animals, including cats and horses, you can make sure whatever you're about to watch or read doesn't contain anything triggering.

This can vary from finding out if a TV show you want to watch has clowns or needles, to finding out if there is alcohol or drug abuse.

We wish we'd known about this website before sitting through half of Marley and Me (and then sobbing uncontrollably for hours after walking out of the cinema).
