The Voice is the perfect show for amateur musicians to have a platform for a wider audience to hear their music, right? What about those people who've already had a successful music career, or even those who are already in successful bands?

Well, it turns out that is exactly for the case for 21-year-old Jacob Simpson, who is hoping to win the judges round during the blind audition stage of the show.

Jacob is no stranger to performing in front of live crowds, as he is actually part of a pretty successful band, who have already been signed by an indie record label.

One third of Jacob & Goliath, back in 2014 Jacob performed in front of a crowd of thousands when his band performed at the British Summer Time festival at Hyde Park in London, straight after Wheatus. Pretty impressive if you consider that Jacob will have only been 17 or 18 at the time.

Back in 2014, the band also released a three-song EP with their Manchester based record label, and then released another single called Long Ago in 2016, however they seemed to go a little bit quiet after that.

Fast forward to 2018 though, and the band have a new single, called Blessings, which presumably will benefit from he publicity that Jacob will get during his stint on The Voice.

We're just wondering what will happen to poor ole' Goliath if Jacob goes further in the competition?
