The Orange Is The New Black cast have just finished filming the seventh and final season and it's fair to say we're all a bit emotional.

In October last year it was revealed the women's prison drama would come to an end in an emotional video featuring cast members like Uzo Aduba and Taylor Schilling, who promised it would go out with a bang.

Now, filming has officially come to an end and the cast have been taking to social media to share heartfelt goodbyes to the cast and crew they've worked with for so many years.

Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, took to Twitter to share her love for co-star Taylor Schilling, writing: "Always love working alongside this beauty."

Meanwhile, Taylor uploaded a video showcasing an incredible collage of the cast and crew from all seven series, giving us all kinds of nostalgia.

Jenji Kohan, the brains behind the Netflix original, uploaded an amazing group snap to Instagram, as well as a huge group picture of the entire cast, telling her followers: "This is family."

OITNBI first launched back in 2013 and quickly became Netflix's most-streamed original series, earning 12 prime time Emmy nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series.

The drama follows the lives of inmates at Litchfield Minimum Security Prison, before season six saw many of the characters moved to the Maximum Security Prison following a riot.

"After seven series, it's time to be released from prison," Jenji Kohan, series creatersaid. "I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we've worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black."

Vice president of original content for Netflix, Cindy Holland, added: "During production of season one, everyone involved with Orange is the New Black felt like we knew a special secret we couldn't wait to share with the world.

"Since then, we have laughed, cried, raged and roared with the women of Litchfield and every moment spent with them felt like borrowed time - too good to last forever.

"We will be sad to say goodbye but we will definitely be going out on a high."
