Where has the year gone? It seems like only yesterday that we were heavily invested in Love Island, rooting for Jack and Dani and running home from pub garden drinks to find out what happened next. Well, somehow, it's already back.

Caroline Flack has dropped the release date on social media, revealing that Love Island will start again in just three weeks. She shared an update on social media on the start date as she was heading home from the gym.

The 39-year-old presenter posted following a gym sesh with her trainer, saying that she's been working hard to get in shape for the new series.

She said: "I've just trained with Bradley Simmonds and he put me through utter hell, making me do weights that I should not be lifting. But, he says we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep, so we've got to work hard."

She added, "But to be fair I feel more sorry for Bradley having to put up with my moaning than me having to put up with his training." While the date hasn't been officially confirmed, Caroline's revelation leaves little room for doubt.

Earlier that day, she gave Love Island fans a sneak peek behind the scenes as she filmed in front of a green screen, presumably filming some presenting bits for the ITV2 show.

She teased that it was "coming soon" and said "it's a Bank Holiday Monday, it's so beautiful today. I'm in town, about to go to the gym. But what's really exciting about this week is, this week we start filming for Love Island 2019!

"And by the end of the week, I'm gonna have potentially have seen the cast for this year. Which is really exciting and mad that's come round this quick. So I'll let you know what happens. It's gonna be a long, hot summer and all that."

ITV

ITV2 will likely confirm the start date for sure soon, but as the last two series premiered in the first week of June, it's pretty certain that season five will premiere at the same time. Caroline has been the host of Love Island since it premiered in 2015, and has been a big hit with viewers.

If you still want to apply for Love Island, you can do so right up until the deadline on the ITV website, where applications are still open. Hurry!
