The Trailer for 'Frozen 2' Has Just Dropped And Now We Can’t Wait For November

The Trailer for 'Frozen 2' Has Just Dropped And Now We Can’t Wait For November

It was announced on Monday via Good Morning America that the second trailer for Frozen 2 would feature on Tuesday's show, and now it's finally here.

Following hot in the footsteps of Disney's teaser poster, the brand-new trailer for the animated blockbuster follows a previous two-minute trailer that dropped back in February, and broke the record for the most-watched trailer for an animated film.

While Disney fans will still have to endure an agonising wait for the official UK release on 22nd November 2019, the new trailer sheds some light on what we can expect from the sequel - and it teases a treacherous journey ahead.

As Elsa exhales from the cold, rough waters at the start of the trailer, wise troll Pabbie exclaims: "Elsa, the past is not what is seems. You must find the truth." Could this be the truth about why she was born with magical powers?

"The answer is calling and threatening her kingdom so together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, the princess sets off on a path to find the truth.

The sequel to the hit 2013 cartoon musical was first announced back in 2015, and it stole our hearts with its amazing soundtrack - we're not ashamed to admit we know all the words to 'Let It Go' - and it's female cast of badass princesses.

We love it even more for the fact that rumours have been swirling in recent months that Frozen 2 will introduce a mysterious new character in the form of a potential girlfriend for Elsa (Idina Menzel). Talk about all this mystery hovering over the kingdom of Arendelle!

Featuring many of the characters from the first film - Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad will be returning as Anna, Elsa and Olaf - it's also been reported that Westworld's Evan Rachel Wood and This Is Us star Sterling K.

Brown may be joining the sequel, so we've got some brand new voices to look forward to, too. Frozen's co-writers and co-directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are also back for round 2, so we're pretty confident that Disney fans won't be disappointed.

Disney attempted to placate Frozen fans with new content - there was the 2015 animated adaption Frozen Fever and the 2017 animated featurette Olaf's Frozen Adventure, plus a Broadway musical that opened earlier this year - but we'll only be fully satisfied when Frozen 2 arrives in cinemas.

And while the sequel was originally due to be released on 27th November, 2019, the official release date now falls on Thanksgiving weekend in America, meaning its hitting screens just in time for the festive season.

And if last year's soundtrack is anything to go by, we're starting a petition for a Christmas number one. Until then, the countdown is officially on...
