Sophie Turner Says Sansa Stark's Relationship With Jon Snow Is 'Under Pressure'

Excitement is mounting for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, and the cast of the HBO fantasy series are adding to the anticipation of what the series has in store.

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, has just touched on her character's relationship with Jon Snow in season eight - and she may have just confirmed a GoT fan theory sparked from the official trailer.

In the recently released preview, Sansa was spotted sending icy daggers to someone as she glared at them.

And it looks like the someone she's staring at could be her half brother's new squeeze as fans expected. The actress just revealed Sansa's relationship with Jon (Kit Harington) is under strain because of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

Sophie told Entertainment Weekly: "Sansa this season is very much enjoying becoming a leader in her own right and the leader of Winterfell, and this year there are certain challenges of people who come into her life that threaten that. She has to go behind a few backs and risks tearing apart her family."

Turner continued: "Her relationship with Jon is struggling because he's so clearly in love with Daenerys and believes in her completely. Sansa thinks she's power-hungry and not the rightful queen. There's a huge amount of fighting between Sansa and Jon."

She's also not happy that she'll have to feed Daenerys' dragons, either.

Sophie said: "She's not initially impressed. She's not happy because she's going to have to feed these dragons. They require a lot of food and they have limited resources."

As the end draws closer, it seems like the cast will be just as sad as fans when filming stops and the finale episode airs.

Talking about her cast mate Maisie Williams, Sophie added: "The saddest part is I don't get to be Sansa, she doesn't get to be Arya, and we don't get to interact on that level - which is sad because their relationship is a big part of who Maisie and I are. That's going to be the saddest thing.

"I won't see Maisie in her costume anymore, I won't see Kit in his costume anymore. I won't be able to be in my costume. We won't get to play these characters."
