We've just found out that Shrimpy, from EastEnders hasn't always spent his days flogging stuff on the stalls of East London, as Ben Champniss who plays the character was also in Harry Potter. No, we never even noticed either.

It turns out that Ben Champniss actually lived alongside Dumbledore and the rest of the HP cast in the magical world, when he featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, as an uncredited parent. Ben can be seen standing behind Mr Potter himself when he, Ron and Hermione can be seen waving their kids off on their journey to the famous Hogwart. Pretty cool for a stallholder from Watford eh?

The three main characters are of course stood on the famous platform 9 and 3/4 at Kings Cross station in London along with Ron's sister Ginny, and a few unidentified parents including Shrimpy. The parents look on emotionally in the scene as they wave their children off on their journey.

Despite watching the film several times, none of us even noticed until a couple of eagle-eyed viewers pointed him out on Twitter. One HP fan wrote: "Just watched he end of Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Part 2... I knew Shrimpy was special but a wizard! Are you under cover on the Square?" A very interesting theory.

Another wrote: "Shrimpy from EastEnders is in Harry Potter, I am mind blown," and another added: ""Was Shrimpy in Harry Potter? Who covered his stall while he was gone?"

It turns out that Ben actually has many strings to his bow as he has also featured in TV series The Wong Mans and film An Adventure In Space And Time.
