Russell Brand had Celebrity Great British Bake Off in stitches on Tuesday night when he made childbirth themed biscuits, inspired by his wife's vagina.

The comedian cooked up potentially the strangest creation to ever be baked on the GBBO famous white tent as he unveiled a collection of biscuits depicting his wife Laura Gallacher giving birth, with a shortbread vagina as the centre piece.

Explaining his creation to his competitors, actor John Lithgow, Olympian Hannah Cockroft and comedian Jon Richardson, Russell said: "The female plays an integral role in the process of childbirth.

"That's why it was a good performance because of my acceptance in a secondary role."

Judge Prue Leith was baffled, telling him: "You have got this great big vagina. It all sounds extraordinary."

GBBO veteran Paul Hollywood added: "I have never heard of a biscuit quite like it."

As he walked over to the amused judges, Russell explained: "I tried to capture the moment of my second daughter's birth.

"The central piece is my wife, the four aspects of her, I wanted it to be expressionist, demonstrating birth but in shortbread.

"But around her the vagina, from which we all enter into this life.

"I know you wanted 24 Prue, but would you take a glance at that labia and tell me that's not adequate?"

Thanks to his efforts, Russell was crowned star baker, as Prue praised his "complex, interesting, funny" and "fantastically good" biscuits.

It wasn't just the judges who were impressed as fans took to Twitter going wild for the vagina biscuits.
