The TV version of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials was such a huge success that it's already set for a second season.
Filming for the adaption of Pullman's fantasy novels is already well underway and according to Deadline, has impressed the BBC so much that the wheels have already been put in motion for a second series.
It's thought that the second series will also air on HBO in the US and will consist of eight new episodes.

According to Digital Spy, the new series will bring back a cast from all over the world, led by Logan star Dafne Keen who plays Lyra on her incredible journey through a parallel realm of existence alongside adventurer Lee Scoresby, who's played by Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The fantasy novels are being brought to television by Julie Gardner who is most known for producing Doctor Who with scripts written by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child's Jack Thorne and directed by The King's Speech's Tom Hooper.

On her journey, Lyra will meet Lord Asriel played by James McAvoy and his mysterious lover Marisa Coulter (Ruth Wilson) as well as some other interesting characters along the way, played by Black Mirror's Georgina Campbell, Clarke Peters from The Wire and Torchwood's Ian Gelder.
Last month it was revealed that RutaGedmintas, star of The Strain, will join the cast as the witch, Serafina Pekkala.
At the time of the announcement, she said: "Philip Pullman created a magical universe filled with imagination and complexity that is a dream for me as an actor to delve in to, and I am so excited to be part of this incredible creative team bringing these books to the screen."
It's unlikely that we'll be lucky enough to get any sneak previews from the set though, as the production company is employing a Magisterium to keep all the magical secrets exactly that, as secrets.
