After much speculation, Deal Or No Deal presenter Noel Edmonds has entered the I'm A Celebrity jungle, and he's vowed never to do television again if he wins.

The TV veteran joked that he's like Marmite, and senses that the British public might've had their fill of him over the last 50 years.

He even offered to quit TV altogether on the condition that we vote him as King of the Jungle, explaining: 'That's a deal I'm prepared to do with the British public'.

"If they do vote me king of the jungle I will never appear on television again.

"Fifty years is long enough - give us a break, for Christ's sake, we've got enough problems with Brexit.

"Now I'd be very happy to do that deal but it's on terms I win the bloody thing.

"I've had a fantastic relationship with the British public. I may be Marmite but there's a hell of a lot of people that seem to like Noel's version of Marmite."

The presenter is rumoured to be one of the highest paid jungle camp mates of all time, earning an estimated £600,000 for participating in the show.

Noel reckons he's hopeful for his chances in the competition thanks to cosmic ordering, which he credits for landing him the role as Deal Or No Deal presenter.

When asked how he'll manage in the jungle, he said: "I do a form of meditation every day anyway. People don't get all this cosmic ordering but it is only prayer.

"It was very funny when someone said to me, 'You have gone New Age', because it is actually old age.

"People were doing this thousands of years ago and it is very good for you to have a moment of peace in a busy day.

"Whether you call it meditation, self-reflection or just shutting everything out, I am quite good at that. Mentally, I am quite good at self discipline."

It seems 69-year-old Noel really is planning to settle down after his stint in the jungle as he revealed he'll retire once it's all over.

"Will I retire? Yes, when I depart," he confirmed. "Now I am looking forward to meeting everybody. I will give it my best shot."

I'm A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
