Netflix's The Innocents has been dubbed as a modern day Romeo and Juliet as two young lovers run away together to escape judgement from their disapproving families...

The series, aimed at young adults, takes from the romance of Everything Sucks, with some of the heartache from 13 Reasons Why added in for good measure.

The synopsis reads as: "When teenagers Harry and June run away from their repressive family lives to be together, they are thrown into an extraordinary journey of self-discovery that derails their innocent dream.

"Secrets kept from them by their respective parents test their love to breaking point; and the extraordinary gift they possess unleashes powerful forces intent on dividing them forever."

The Innocents is set to drop on the online streaming giant on 24th August which means just a few short weeks until we can binge to our heart's content.

The eight part series stars Sorcha Groundsell, known for Clique, Iona, and Sleeping Lions, Percelle Ascott, known from Wizard vs. Aliens andThe Weekend Movie, and Guy Pearce from L.A. Confidential, Memento and The King's Speech.

We can't wait for a good ole' binge on this!
