Ever since Netflix announced that they would be doing a reboot of our favourite 1990s show, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, we've been dying to find out more.

Sadly, we already know that the original cast won't be involved in the new series, and it's actually going to have more of a Buffy the Vampire Slayer kind of vibe.

Melissa Joan Hart, who played the infamousSabrina with her former co-stars at LA Comic Con at the end of last yearand dished out some little details regarding the new series.

However, the way she started pretty much shattered the hopes and dreams of every Millennial within a 500 mile radius: "We're not involved," she began.

"The rights reverted back to [Archie Comics], and they're doing The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which is a darker sort of twist.

"I think our show was about magic and family, and I think the new one - it sounds like, I have no idea - but the new one is going to be more about witchcraft, dark stuff.

"I think it sounds more Buffy the Vampire Slayer than it does Sabrina, so I think it will appeal to a different kind of audience and be a totally different show."

Sounds pretty cool, right?

But if none of the original cast are in it, we need to know exactly who will.

Well, we recently discovered that Mad Men actress Kieran Shipka would take on the role of Sabrina, and now Netflix has announced the casting of an equally important character.

Of course we're talking about Sabrina's trusty companion, Salem the cat.

He's got pretty big shoes to fill after the original Salem...
