Ahhh - there's nothing like investing in a really good tv show and relaxing in the comfortable and exciting knowledge that you're only at the start of your journey, with many more series left to dig into.

Well fans of Mindhunter can experience this very niche facet of joy today, with the news there could be at least three more series of the true-crime drama to sweat over. Hall-el-UJAH!

Fans have recently been enjoying series two of the thriller flick - which continues to follow FBI agents Holden Ford, Bill Tench and psychologist Dr Wendy Carr as they explore the minds of some of the most dangerous serial killers - after it dropped on Netflix last week.

Now, one of the show's stars Holt McCallany - who plays agent Bill Tench - may have just spilled the beans on how much Mindhunter is on its way.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Holt revealed executive producer David Fincher hopes it'll stick around for "five seasons". EXCELLENT news.

"He [Fincher] said 'Listen, are you ready to do this for five seasons? Because even if I f*** it up, it's gonna go five seasons, and I don't intend to f*** it up'," he told the magazine.

"So I'd like to think that we will continue, for as long as David is intrigued by telling this particular story."

For now at least, fans can dig into series two which is set between the years 1979 and 1981 - two years after the first - and explores the infamous Atlanta Child Murders as well as Charles Manson's cult and the killings of New York serial killer David Berkowitz, known as Son of Sam.

Fans who have already binged were particularly impressed by the epic casting, with viewers sharing their awe at the likeness between many of the actors and the serial killers they were playing.

One Twitter user wrote: "Finished watching the newest season of MindHunter. What a show. So addictive, and so well made. What creeped me out the most was the choice of casting. Some of the actors looks like a replica of who they are representing. Absolutely chilling."

While another agreed, writing: "Extremely disturbed at how incredible Mindhunter's casting directors are."

Three more series where that came from? This is exactly the news we needed today.
