Fans of Netflix's supernatural flick The Haunting of Hill House, will no doubt be getting excited about season two coming next year, but at the moment, info is sparse.

However we do know that the next installment, named The Haunting of Bly Manor, will tell an all-new horror tale to audiences, leaving all of the old characters behind - or so we thought.

Carla Gugino, who played Crain family matriarch Olivia Crain, may have just hinted that she's back for season two... eh?!

Speaking with The Wrap, Carla Gugino confirmed she's been having conversations with Mike Flanagan, the show creator and her longtime collaborator, about a role in The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Netflix

"Well, I can't say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honored to," she said, adding: "So we're talking a lot about it and we'll just see if all schedules allow. All I can say is I'm very excited for season two and to see what Mike does."

It's not clear if Carla will be reprising her role as Olivia Crain. Maybe the character has the ability to cross dimensions/time-spans?! This would still be a major curve-ball though, considering, *spoiler*, Olivia died at the end of the first series.

Or perhaps Carla is taking on a role altogether? This will no doubt be a bit confusing for viewers who know her as Olivia Crain.

As for the other cast members of series one, they've kept tight lipped, for the most part.

Netflix

Oliver Jackson-Cohen, who plays Olivia's son Luke Crain in the show, recently told The Wrap he'd "get shot" if he confirmed his involvement in season two when asked if he'd be back.

"I will get shot if I ever answer that question. I would love to answer that question. All I can say is that Bly Manor is going to be incredible. It's a very, very exciting story, from what I've heard," he said.

We guess we'll just have to wait for more news...

The Haunting of Bly Manor is due to arrive on Netflix in 2020.
